Cross-Tabulate Survey Data « Back

How do you cross-tabulate results so you can drill down into your survey data?

One approach is to compare responses across groups.
E-valuate-IT surveys (Total, High and Medium security) allow a survey to be customized to multiple respondent groups. When reporting your survey, summary tables compare questions in common for multiple respondent groups.

Another approach is to compare responses by respondent attribute.
E-valuate-IT summary tables compare responses against demographics or characteristics from drop down select lists collected at login or provided in advance.

Drop down select lists that provide attributes for further cross-tabulation can be created for each respondent group. They are set up prior to distributing or activating the survey, in order to collect information from respondents at login or to supply information about respondents that is known in advance.

Alternately, export of survey response data means that further statistical analysis can be applied to raw data.
E-valuate-IT export data files contain demographic information and response data for each respondent, sorted by respondent group, in accordance with the level of anonymity (anonymous, optional, no anonymity).

Ideally, you should think about results and reporting when you set up your survey. Think ahead about what you expect, what you would like to see in the report and what cross-tabulation (if any) would be useful. Think about what attributes can add value to your survey data, such as age group, gender, ethnicity, skill level, department, or other attributes specific to your respondent group. Analyze sample response data to see the different summary reports that can be generated and determine whether your measures enable you to provide appropriate information for decision-making.

Plan your survey in advance to ensure that it meets (or exceeds!) your expectations.
